OVERVIEW

The West Coast Fishing Club has earned a reputation for running a fleet of safe, seaworthy Boston Whalers, providing the most experienced guides, and utilizing superior equipment.  The Queen Charlotte’s are located directly in the primary migratory route for most salmon heading to many if not most Pacific Coastal rivers. This remarkably strategic location with access to a constant stream of Chinook Salmon is unique in the world. Both Chinook and Coho begin arriving in early May and continue well into September. From the protected base of Langara Island, guests are only minutes from the fishing.  For guests concerned about seasickness, flat, calm water can often be found on the lee side of the island due to the wind shadow of Langara Island itself Langara also is one of those unusual places where many extremely large Pacific Halibut are caught. We encourage releasing any fish over 100 pounds because these are all females and are the primary breeding stock. However, it is not uncommon to tie into halibut pushing 300 pounds and beyond.  Fishing begins early each morning, and all fishing equipment is provided.
