Sitka is an angler’s paradise, offering some of the most magnificent salmon in the world and halibut that regularly tip the scales at over 100 lbs. All fishing is done from boats equipped with warm comfortable cabins, cooking galley and stand-up facilities. Leading the fleet are the 39' Sea Ray, LADY MAY, and a 32' custom Sea Sport Catamaran, the TALON II. One of the comfortable charter fishing boats, well stocked with tackle, bait, lures, rain gear and a special lunch, will be waiting and ready for you each morning. Fishing days start at approximately 7:00AM and finish at approximately 4:30 PM.

Talon’s guides are led by Steve Case, and are all long-time Alaska residents and US Coast Guard certified captains, service oriented and have years of experience on the Inside Passage waters that surround Sitka.

Talon primarily offers salt water fishing utilizing their fleet of boats. However, they can arrange (for an additional cost) fly-out fresh water fly fishing. These fly fishing opportunities are mostly in Coho salmon fishing starting early in August and continuing until late September. The lodge provides all gear required including waders, boots, fly rods and reels. Baranoff Island has excellent Coho fishing.
