In general, Southeastern Idaho is a sunny and dry climate.  In Spring temperature are cool and may be cold depending on the day.  By summer daytime temperatures are warm and may be hot.  Fall days are sunny and cool.  Late fall days will be cold. Nighttime lows are always cold. Even in summer, the average lows only reach the high 40’s. Rain is a possibility, but does not occur often. We recommend guests come prepared for almost anything.  Please dress casually and in layers, which can be removed as the day warms.  Bring plenty of sun screen and a wide brimmed hat.  During the heat of the summer, some guests may prefer to wet wade in shorts rather than waders.

South Fork Outfitters can supply all guests with waders, boots, flyrods, lines and tippits and flies for a fee.  Of course you may also prefer to bring your own gear.
